The last Sunday before Lent was filled with special celebrations.  

The Rev. Jean Jersey’s newly painted sacred icon of Julian of Norwich was commissioned at the 10:00 AM service on February 19th.  The icon was painted by a friend of Jean, the world renowned iconographer, Zachary J. Roesemann of Brattleboro. Here are some photos by Rilla Murray and Ruth Beard.

The youth of Christ Church made fleece blankets during church school.  These blankets were blessed and will be donated to those in need within the greater Montpelier area.  One will go with Sara Baker on her mission to Africa. Our youth are actively engaging in service projects to deepen their spiritual roots and give back to others in our community.

In a moving ceremony, the parish sent Sara Baker off to her mission to Kenya with prayers, blessings, and laying on of hands by the kids of the parish.  She is bringing a donated wheelchair for a disabled Kenyan youth. Sara leaves within a week. (Read more here.)
