Thanks from the PINS program PDF Print E-mail

The following note came from the Family Services Division of the Department for Children and Families thanking us for our contribution to the PINS school supplies program:

    To our PINS Partners,

Family Service would like to thank you for all that you have done for Foster children.  The responses we received for the backpacks were overwhelming to us during these difficult times.  It’s great to see how much you care for these children who may not have had a backpack or school supplies to start out the school year with.  PINS donated over 115 backpacks and tons of school supplies.
Seeing the smile on these children’s faces while receiving the backpacks was priceless, especially when they opened them up to see all the items inside, like water bottles, school supplies, lunch boxes, silly bands and much more.
We also had requests for camps, pool passes and even a bed; and all our requests were answered.  You have given many children a wonderful summer.
From the entire Barre Family Services staff we would like to thank you for your generosity.  We look forward to working with you over the next few months.

    Thank you,

    Jean Rock                          Cathy Ashford

MDC UPDATE 3 PDF Print E-mail

"The great blessing of membership in a congregation is that it is a place where we come for refreshment and mutual support.

We are created social beings and our faith grows and flourishes when we can share both our joys and our struggles with others, support others, and be supported by them.

We're in a period which offers us an opportunity to think about what it might mean for Christ Church to step back and review the ways in which we choose life. What is life-giving to you that you would like to see happen here? Are we open to new possibilities or do we cling to old patterns, worn out forms? Can we, like the Children of Israel, step into uncharted territory, fearful perhaps, but trusting in the Spirit to guide us?"

Eternal Light, shine in our hearts.
Eternal Power, be our strength.
Eternal Wisdom, guide us as we serve you.
Eternal Goodness, you have drawn us to your hear and united us in the Sacrament of Christ’s Body and Blood.
Now grant that with all our heart, mind, and strength, we may evermore seek your face.
And finally, by your infinite love, keep us in your holy presence as we begin this phase of our discernment process; through Jesus Christ, our Redeemer.  Amen
